The Backyard Of My Life

Its Raining Roses

Every time i look into your loving eyes
I get lost and carried away on clouds
To a painted paradise of passion and poetry
Where fire fly's eliminate the darkest night

Life used to be so hard when i was busy
Wasting time digging ditches
Down at the graveyard with the tombstone blues
Then you come along and now

Its raining roses
The sun is shining up in the Violet sky
Its a new moon
Its heaven on a Sunday
There's a bluebird over her shoulder
Its a wonder its a miracle
Its a golden circle
Its raining roses
When i thought the flowers had faded
On the windowsill in the dying of the light

Every time we have a casual conversation
My mind drifts away in day dreams
To a magical place of peace and serenity
Where butterflies dance under silver sparkles

Life used to be a grind when i was busy
Killing time rushing around in a rat race
Climbing a lonely ladder that lead to nowhere
Then you come along and now

Its raining roses
The birds are singing in the sycamore trees
Its a whirl wind
Its sea side on a Saturday
There's a carnation in her long blonde hair
Its perfect its precious
Its extraordinarily rare
Its raining roses
When i was certain that the tulips
Where swallowed by the shadows in the dying of the light
